April 05, 2020 0
Indian Oakleaf Butterfly : Photographer Pankaj MK. Magar
This Oakleaf Butterfly was founded in the interior part of Arunachal Pradesh by photographer Pankaj MK. Magar. Now a day such kinds of species were almost vanished, rarely we found it in such kind of jungle area.

Male and female oakleaf butterflies are similar except that the female is generally larger and has the apex of the forewing protrude to form a longer point. Females also tend to be more reddish on the underside and the yellow mottled markings tend to be paler. The wingspan of the butterfly ranges from 85 to 110 millimeters (3.3 to 4.3 in). When the wings of the butterflies are closed position, its shaped looks like a dry leaf.
